is an enterprise development intervention of OWWA in partnership with LBP and DBP. It  aims  to  help  OFWs  and  their  families  in  the  establishment  of  viable  business enterprises  that  will  provide  them  with  steady  income  stream  and  create  employment opportunities in their community.

1. The Enterprise Development Interventions are social preparation activities that include the conduct of business appreciation seminar with entrepreneurial skills self-assessment, referral  to  partner  institutions  for  project-specific  skills-training  or  business-relevant orientation/seminar, referral to individuals/institutions for immersion, conduct of seminar on business plan preparation and other relevant interventions.

2. Loan Facility  –  after  the  OFW-applicant  has  completed  the  Enhanced  Enterprise Development Training (EEDT), he/she can avail of the loan facility.  Loanable amount per borrower  is  Php100,000.00  up  to  a  maximum  of  Php2M  for  individual  loan borrowers  and  up  to  a  maximum  of  Php5M  for  group  loan     A 7.5% interest rate per annum is fixed for the duration of the loan.

OFWs may  avail  of  the loan  facility  within  3  years  from  the  date  of  arrival  to  the Philippines, except in cases where the OFW-applicant has an on-going business prior to the time of application.
