In response to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr’s directive to focus on the ongoing rescue and relief operations for four (4) missing OFWs in Myanmar, our Crisis Communication and Monitoring Team is currently on alert at the newly established Crisis Communication Center here at OWWA Central Office.

Recall that a powerful Magnitude 7.7 earthquake shook Myanmar and some parts of Thailand on March 28, 2025.

OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio assures that #OWWA is ready with all the help and support for OFWs that are constantly seeking, as well as their families here in the Philippines.

The Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Migrant Workers, OWWA, and Embassies continue to work in the affected areas to provide assistance, information, and support to our countrymen.

For those in need of immediate assistance, you are encouraged to contact the Embassy or OWWA hotlines. Together we are focusing the situation for the welfare of every OFW.

OWWA Crisis Communication Center, aktibong tinutukan ang sitwasyon ng nawawalang OFWs sa Myanmar

Bilang pagtugon sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr na tutukan ang isinasagawang rescue and relief operations para sa apat (4) na nawawalang OFWs sa Myanmar, kasalukuyang naka-alerto ang ating Crisis Communication at Monitoring Team sa bagong tatag na Crisis Communication Center dito sa OWWA Central Office.

Matatandaan na isang malakas na Magnitude 7.7 na lindol ang yumanig sa Myanmar at ilang bahagi ng Thailand noong Marso 28, 2025.

Sinisiguro naman ni OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio na nakahanda ang #OWWA sa lahat ng tulong at suporta para sa mga OFWs na patuloy na hinahanap, gayundin sa kanilang pamilya dito sa Pilipinas.

Patuloy rin ang ugnayan ng Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Migrant Workers, OWWA, at mga Embahada sa mga apektadong lugar upang makapagbigay ng tulong, impormasyon, at suporta sa ating mga kababayan.
Sa mga nangangailangan ng agarang tulong, hinihikayat kayong makipag-ugnayan sa mga hotline ng Embahada o OWWA. Sama-sama po nating tinututukan ang sitwasyon para sa kapakanan ng bawat OFW.
