Arrived last night, July 3, a new batch of OFWs from Israel consisting of eight (8) repatriates, after deciding to go home amid the ongoing tensions in the region.
In response to the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ensuring that “No Filipino will be left behind,” the government immediately conducted the repatriation process for such OFWs.
As part of OWWA’s assistance, the repatriates were immediately given food and transportation assistance to return to their respective provinces. Hotel accommodation is also offered if needed, with financial assistance available for their relaunch in the Philippines.
OWWA, DMW, and other government agencies continue to work together to ensure that every OFW is able, safe, and with full dignity to be reunited with their families here in the country.
