POLO-OWWA UK extends its services to Filipino workers in Ireland

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office – Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (POLO-OWWA) extended its various services to the Filipino workers in Ireland during the outreach mission of the Philippine Embassy London in Dublin on 25-26 January 2019.

 About a hundred employment-related documents were processed comprising of contract registration, Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) issuance, and OWWA membership registration.

 This activity is part of the POLO-OWWA UK’s efforts to assure Filipino workers of fair and just terms and conditions of employment, provide insurance coverage and other social protection programs and services to the OFWs, and to bring its services closer to its clientele.


Aside from the services mentioned, POLO-OWWA UK also responded to several queries from Filipino workers and provided briefing on POLO-OWWA programs and services to the attendees in the outreach. 

 POLO-OWWA UK in coordination with the Philippine Embassy will also conduct outreach programs in other parts of the United Kingdom. Other outreach activities in countries under its off-site jurisdiction which include Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Gibraltar, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands will be lined up in coordination with the Philippine Embassies in Oslo and Copenhagen.
