Polomolok OFW Associations celebrates Localized OFW Family Day

KORONADAL CITY – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office XII graced the localized OFW Family Day in the Municipality of Polomolok last December 17, 2016.  The activity was participated by one hundred twenty five (125) OFWs and dependents. The said event was spearheaded by the Public OFW Desk Officer (PODO) Ms. Ma. Lourdes E. Hormigos.


The event was highlighted by the induction of the OFC Officers by Officer-In-Charge Marlyn E. Jamero. It was a fun activity filled with excitement as the OFCs showcased their talents thru various presentations.

Ines as he deliver his inspirational Message: “Talagang Mapalad tayo dito sa ating munisipyo dahil tayo ay parating na-aabot ng bawat programa at serbisyo ng ating gobyerno, kami po ay taos pusong nagpapasalamat sa ating OWWA sa pangangalaga sa kapakanan ng ating mga OFWs, sana po ay patuloy ang ating ugnayan kasama ng ating local government at ang bawat asosasyon ng mga OFWs sa pag sulong ng kapakanan ng ating mga mahal na OFWs.”


The celebration of the OFW Family Day every December of the year is one way of showing the appreciation to our OFWs who sacrificed to be away from their loved ones in order to provide for their needs as well as contribute to our country’s economy.


Officer-In-Charge Marlyn E. Jamero greeted the participants of the event with “Kahit saang panig ng mundo ang OWWA ay laging maaasahan”, She presented the various programs and services of the agency She also emphasized the importance of being an active OWWA member.  Saying “Sa OWWA, ang myembro protektado! ”.


This activity aims to develop camaraderie between the government and the OFWs and their families making them feel that all of their sacrifices are being acknowledged.
