OWWA-ARMM joins the 115th Labor Day Celebration

COTABATO CITY – Government workers including officials in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao convened to join the whole nation in the celebration of the 115th Labor Day yesterday, May 1 at the Office of the Bangsamoro People, ORG Compound, Cotabato City.

 

The celebration organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-ARMM) kicked off with an early morning parade followed by an opening program.

 

This year's celebration carries the theme, “Matatag na Kabuhayan at Trabaho Tungo sa Progresibong Pagbabago”.

 

DOLE-ARMM Regional Secretary Muslimin A. Jakilan said a jobs and business fair participated by different government and private agencies are among the highlights of the celebration.

 

The public also availed free medical and dental check-up, bloodletting activity and child welfare activities.

 

OWWA-ARMM provided free calls to the families of OFWs with the “Libreng Tawag sa Abroad” program during the day.

 

The celebration was simultaneously held in the five (5) provinces of ARMM.
